Engagement Portrait-Edinburgh-Rachel and Richard

It was cold and damp February when I met London based Rachel and Richard to discuss their wedding day photography at my second photographer Paul's Edinburgh studio before heading off to do a recce and their engagement portrait. This pre-wedding portrait session is of great value to bride, groom and the photographer, as it is an ideal opportunity to get to know each other and practice ideas for their wedding day photographs. Ok they didn't come just to see me, there was a rather important England v Scotland rugby match.
Although I mostly work on my own, they needed two photographer coverage, I was to photograph Rachel and her bridesmaids preparations whilst Paul would meet up with Richard, his best man and ushers at lunch. This is a real bonus as it means that all of the great wedding day moments can be captured from different points of view and result in fabulous documentary story telling.
The benefits of a pre-wedding session are that you receive great images, like Rachel and Richard.

As you can see although it was the weather was miserable the results speak for themselves. But what do you think?
